Oxyforge
WooCommerce

Hosting Built Around The Checkout.

A store is the hardest kind of WordPress site to host well, because the pages that matter most are the ones nobody can cache. Oxyforge is set up for that from the start: carts and checkouts stay out of the page cache, the catalogue is held in memory, and every plugin update can be tried on a copy first.

The Problem

A Store Is Not A Bigger Blog

Three things make a store different, and they are exactly what cheap hosting tends to get wrong.

The Cart Cannot Be Cached

A blog can serve every visitor the same page. A store cannot: the cart, the checkout and the account pages are different for every shopper, so they hit PHP and the database every time.

A Store Writes Constantly

Every add to cart, every order and every stock change is a write, and WooCommerce logs a session row for browsers who never buy. Catalogue pages and search are heavy reads on top.

An Update Can Cost Real Money

A broken plugin on a blog is embarrassing. A broken checkout is lost orders, and you usually hear about it from a customer rather than from a monitor.

What We Do

Built For Stores, Not Patched For Them

Every one of these is included on every plan. There is nothing to buy as an add-on and nothing to configure.

Caching That Leaves The Cart Alone

Catalogue and content pages are served from the Nginx page cache, with Cloudflare in front for static files. The cart, the checkout, the account pages and any visitor with something in their basket are never served from cache. Shoppers get live pages, browsers get fast ones.

Redis In Front Of The Database

Product queries, options and sessions are held in memory instead of being rebuilt on every request. With PHP 8.3 or 8.4 and MySQL 8.4 underneath, this is the single biggest win for a catalogue of any size.

Staging For Every Plugin Update

Clone the store, update the plugins on the copy, place a test order, then push it live. WooCommerce and its extensions update often, and this is the only honest way to do it on a shop that takes money.

Nothing Updates Itself Unless You Ask

Automatic updates are off by default, per site. Switch them on for a quiet shop and a backup is taken before the update runs. Leave them off on a busy one and nothing moves without you.

A Backup Every Night, Kept 30 Days

Files and the database together, restored by you from the members area in one click. Take one by hand before you touch a payment or tax setting.

Your Store Is On Its Own

Every site runs in its own container, as its own Unix user, with its own MySQL database, so another customer being compromised or hammered does not reach your orders. The servers are on Google Cloud in Singapore, which is the trip every uncached step of your checkout has to make.

Moving A Live Store

Move A Shop Without Losing An Order

Your store keeps taking orders on your current host while you work. The copy you build here lives on its own temporary address, and you can keep a password on it, so there is no window in which an order can go missing.

Copy the store across with a migration plugin, or by hand over SFTP, WP-CLI and the database manager. Place a test order on the temporary address, check the tax, the shipping and the stock, make sure the confirmation email arrives, then point the domain. Any orders your old shop took while you were testing you export and import once, at the end.

We do not do the move for you. The temporary address, staging and the nightly backups are what make doing it yourself safe.

Where To Start

A Single Store Starts Here

One website, properly hosted. For a business site, a portfolio or a blog that has to load fast and stay up.

  • Servers In Singapore
  • Free SSL On Every Domain
  • Daily Backups, Kept 30 Days
  • One-Click Staging
  • Cloudflare CDN And DDoS Protection
  • Nightly Malware Scans
  • SFTP And WP-CLI
  • PHP 8.3 And Redis
  • Support From Real People

Every plan includes the same platform. The only difference is how many websites and how much room they have.

Storage and bandwidth are pooled across your account, and on a shop it is nearly always the product images that use them. Five ways to speed up WooCommerce starts with that.

Questions

What Shop Owners Ask First

Can The Cart Or Checkout Ever Be Served From Cache?

No. The cart, checkout and account pages are kept out of the page cache, and the cache is bypassed for any visitor from the moment they put something in the basket. That is handled on the platform, which is why a caching plugin has no job to do here and should be removed.

Do You Store Card Numbers?

No. Payments are taken by your gateway, and the card details stay with it. That is what keeps most of the compliance burden off your store, and it is worth checking your gateway is set up that way rather than posting card details through your own site.

Will My Order Emails Go Out?

Yes. Order confirmations, password resets and enquiry notifications are sent through Mailgun with no plugin to set up. If the shop also sends marketing, connect your own email service over SMTP: you get delivery logs and your own sending reputation.

How Big A Catalogue Can I Run?

There is no product limit. The numbers that matter are 10 GB of storage and 50 GB of bandwidth a month on Build, pooled across your account, and product images are what uses both. Grow doubles the storage and the bandwidth if a large catalogue needs the room.

Can I Try An Update Without Risking The Shop?

That is what staging is for, and it is on every plan. Copy the live store, update on the copy, place a test order, then push it back. If something slips through anyway, last night’s backup is one click away in the members area.

Is Someone There On A Saturday?

Support is a ticket from the members area and it reaches the people who run the platform, not a first line reading a script. There is no phone line and we do not claim cover around the clock. Staging and one-click restore exist so that a bad afternoon does not have to wait for us.

Being Straight With You

What We Do Not Do

Not Our Job

  • We do not move stores across for you. Copying one over is your job, and the temporary address, staging and nightly backups are there to make it safe.
  • We do not take payments or hold card numbers. Your gateway does that, and keeping your end of it tidy is still yours.
  • We do not send your marketing email. Connect an email service over SMTP. What is included here is the mail a shop has to send.
  • We do not debug your extensions. We will tell you what the server saw, but a shipping plugin that has stopped working is between you and whoever wrote it.
  • We do not rewrite a slow theme. If the product page loads forty scripts and six fonts, hosting makes it quicker, not fast.

Put Your Store On A Temporary Address First

Build the copy here, place a test order, and point the domain only when it all adds up. Your current shop keeps selling until you do.
