A CLDY Alternative For Singapore WordPress Sites
Who This Is For
You host a WordPress site with CLDY, the first year is nearly up, and you have noticed what the second year costs. This is a straight comparison of the two, with every CLDY figure taken from cldy.com and their own billing system, observed in October 2026.
Key Takeaways
- CLDY WP Mini is S$35.88 for the first year and S$86.26 a year to renew, observed October 2026, which is roughly a 140 per cent rise.
- CLDY’s own pages list the CLOUDWEB20 shared plan from S$7.20 a month on one page and from S$10.00 a month on another.
- CLDY does not publish a staging environment on any WordPress plan, while we include staging on every plan.
- CLDY beats us on service with a 99.9 per cent uptime SLA, a 60-minute guaranteed response and a free migration of the first website, none of which we offer.
- Stay with CLDY if the renewal rate is within budget, you use the unlimited mailboxes every day, or you run five small sites on one shared plan.
What CLDY Is Genuinely Good At
CLDY is cheap, local and unusually honest about its pricing. Their about page says the team founded and scaled the Vodien group up to its 2017 acquisition by Dreamscape Networks, so this is people who have run Singapore hosting at scale starting again, and it shows in the detail. The comparison page publishes a full feature grid rather than a marketing summary: a Singapore data centre in an ISO 27001 certified facility, cPanel, unmetered bandwidth, unlimited mailboxes, CageFS account isolation, Imunify360, daily automatic backups kept as 14 copies plus a daily off-site copy, and restores of individual files, databases or mailboxes from cPanel.
Two things there are genuinely better than ours. CLDY publishes a 99.9 per cent uptime SLA and a 60-minute guaranteed response, and we publish neither. And CLDY will do your migration: a free transfer of the first website, same-day, completed inside 24 hours according to their own page. We will not move a site for you at all.
Where It Actually Hurts

Three things, all checkable in October 2026.
The second year costs more than twice the first. CLDY’s billing system states it plainly, which deserves credit, but the numbers are still the numbers. WP Mini is S$35.88 for the first year, S$2.99 a month, and then S$86.26 a year, S$7.19 a month, to renew. WP Pro is S$71.86 then S$172.66. WP Max is S$155.89 then S$359.86. Each of those is roughly a 140 per cent rise at the first renewal, and the plans bill annually, so the day you sign is the day you commit to the year.
The two pages that quote a shared hosting price do not agree. On the Singapore web hosting page, CLOUDWEB20 is listed from S$7.20 a month. On the comparison page, the same plan is listed from S$10.00 a month. Both are their pages, both were live on the same day. Ask which applies to the term you are buying.
Staging is not published. The WordPress plans list auto-updates, a WordPress manager, 2FA and acceleration, and the comparison grid runs to more than fifty rows, but a staging environment does not appear in either. For a plan whose whole promise is managed WordPress convenience, the ability to try a plugin update somewhere safe is the thing you miss first.
CLDY And Oxyforge Compared
CLDY figures from cldy.com and manage.cldy.com, observed October 2026, taking the WP Mini WordPress plan as the entry plan. Where a cell says “not published”, that means we could not find it stated on their site and would rather leave a gap than guess.
| CLDY | Oxyforge | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price, monthly and annual | WP Mini S$35.88 for the first year, S$2.99/month. Annual billing, no monthly cycle shown. Shared CLOUDWEB20 listed from S$7.20/month on one page and from S$10.00/month on another | Build 24 USD/month, or 20/month billed yearly at 240/year. Grow 48 or 40. Scale 96 or 80 |
| Renewal price | Published, and higher. WP Mini renews at S$86.26/year, S$7.19/month. WP Pro S$172.66. WP Max S$359.86 | The same. The price you sign up at is the price you renew at |
| Singapore region | Yes, a Singapore data centre in an ISO 27001 certified facility | Yes, Google Cloud Singapore, and nowhere else |
| Sites included | 1 on all three WordPress plans. Shared CLOUDWEB20 lists 5 domains | Build 1, Grow 3, Scale 10 |
| Storage and bandwidth | 10 GB on WP Mini, 20 GB on Pro, 40 GB on Max. Bandwidth unmetered on the shared plans | Build 10 GB and 50 GB bandwidth, Grow 20 and 100, Scale 30 and 200. Pooled across the account, with optional per-site caps |
| Staging | Not published | Included on every plan, one click |
| Backups and self-restore | Daily, 14 copies, plus a daily off-site copy. Restore files, databases or mailboxes yourself from cPanel | Nightly files and database, kept 30 days, restored in one click from the members area. Manual backups too |
| Isolation | Shared server with CageFS account isolation and CloudLinux resource limits | Own container, own Unix user and own MySQL database per site |
| Migration | CLDY do it. Free transfer of the first website, same-day, completed within 24 hours, with three to seven days of lead time requested | Self-service. We do not move sites for customers |
| Support | 24/7 by email, phone and WhatsApp. 99.9 per cent uptime SLA and a 60-minute guaranteed response | Ticket from the members area, read by the people who run the platform. No phone line, no published response time, no uptime SLA |
Underneath, each site here gets its own container, its own Unix user and its own MySQL database, with nginx page caching, a Redis object cache, PHP 8.3 or 8.4 chosen per site, MySQL 8.4, and Cloudflare in front for CDN and DDoS protection. Nightly malware scanning runs on every site. SFTP, WP-CLI, a database manager and free SSL on every domain are included on all three plans, every new site comes up on a temporary address straight away, and any environment can be password protected while you work on it. The detail is on the pricing page and the managed WordPress hosting in Singapore overview.
What Moving Costs You

An afternoon of your own time, because the migration is yours to run. We do not have a migration team and would rather tell you that than advertise one we cannot staff. CLDY will do it for you. We will not.
The day looks like this. Create the site, and it comes up at once on its own temporary address. Copy the CLDY site onto that address with a migration plugin, or by hand over SFTP and WP-CLI if the site is large. Then check it properly: forms, logins, checkout, the pages that matter commercially. CLDY keeps serving your visitors the whole time, so there is no window where the site is down. When you are satisfied, point the domain’s www record here and close the old plan. The full walkthrough is in moving your site.
Two things to plan for before you start. Your mailboxes do not travel with the website, because we host no mail at all, so move them to Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or a mail host and leave the MX records pointed there. And a bare root domain cannot be pointed here, so you connect the www name and set URL forwarding at your registrar from the bare name to it. Most registrars have that switch, but check yours has it first.
Who Should Stay Put
If CLDY’s renewal rate is still comfortably inside your budget, if unlimited mailboxes in the same account as the website is a feature you use every day, if you are running five small sites on one shared plan, or if a contractual uptime figure and a 60-minute response are things you want in writing, stay with CLDY. They publish both and we publish neither. We are a narrow product: managed WordPress, Singapore only, no mail, no cPanel, no phone line, and the move is your own job. That suits a business with one or a few WordPress sites that genuinely earn, and it is overpriced for a brochure site that nobody touches. For small business sets out which of those you probably are.
What To Do Next
- Ask CLDY two things in writing: whether a staging environment is included on your WordPress plan, since neither page publishes one, and which CLOUDWEB20 figure, S$7.20 or S$10.00, applies to your term.
- Check the renewal line in your CLDY billing account against the first-year price, so the annual figure you are comparing is the real one.
- Create a site on Oxyforge and copy the CLDY site onto its temporary address by following moving your site. The migration is your own job, not ours.
- Test forms, logins and checkout on the temporary address while CLDY keeps serving your visitors.
- Point the www record here, forward the bare domain at your registrar, and close the old plan once the site has settled. Pick a plan on the pricing page before you start.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does CLDY cost at renewal?
CLDY publishes it, which is rarer than it should be. Their billing system in October 2026 shows WP Mini at S$35.88 for the first year, S$2.99 a month, then S$86.26 a year to renew, S$7.19 a month. WP Pro is S$71.86 then S$172.66, and WP Max is S$155.89 then S$359.86. Budget on the second figure and the plan is still inexpensive.
Is Oxyforge better value than CLDY?
Not on price, and that is the honest answer. CLDY renews WP Mini at about S$7.19 a month and our Build plan is 24 US dollars a month, or 20 billed yearly. What the difference buys is a container, a Unix user and a MySQL database per site instead of a shared account, nightly backups kept 30 days rather than 14 daily copies, staging on every plan, and a price that does not move at renewal. Whether that is worth the gap depends on what the site earns.
Does CLDY do the migration?
Yes. Their pages offer a free transfer of the first website, a same-day migration and completion within 24 hours, and they ask for three to seven days of lead time before your current hosting expires. Anything not coming from cPanel or WordPress is treated as a manual migration and assessed case by case. We do not move sites at all, so on this point CLDY is ahead of us.
Does Oxyforge include mailboxes like CLDY does?
No. CLDY bundles unlimited mailboxes with its hosting, which is a real saving for a small business. We host managed WordPress only, so there is no mail at all. Mailboxes on your own domain belong on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or a mail host, and your MX records stay pointed there whatever happens to the website.
Does Oxyforge have an uptime SLA or a response-time guarantee?
No to both, and CLDY publishes both: a 99.9 per cent uptime SLA and a 60-minute guaranteed response on its comparison page. Our support is a ticket from the members area, read by the people who run the platform, with no phone line and no published response time. If a contractual number is what you are shopping for, CLDY has one and we do not.
