A Shinjiru Alternative For Malaysian WordPress Sites

A Shinjiru Alternative For Malaysian WordPress Sites

Who This Is For

You host WordPress with Shinjiru and you have started pricing a Shinjiru alternative, either because the term you signed is nearly up or because the thirty-website allowance stopped meaning much once two of those sites got busy. Every Shinjiru figure below was read off shinjiru.com.my in October 2026, including the ones that do not flatter us.

Key Takeaways

  • Shinjiru WP Startup is RM149.90 for one year, observed October 2026, and the RM95.40 headline is the per-year rate on a 36-month term.
  • Shinjiru publishes no renewal figure, only a 50 per cent lifetime discount with a code, printed beside an undiscounted RM190.80.
  • Shinjiru migrates cPanel sites free, keeps your data in a Kuala Lumpur data centre and lists a web application firewall, and we match none of the three.
  • Oxyforge Build is 24 US dollars a month, or 20 billed yearly, for a container per site, 30 days of nightly backups you restore yourself, and a renewal invoice matching the first.
  • Stay with Shinjiru if your data must stay in Malaysia, if your mailboxes live on the hosting account, or if a dozen small sites on one RM149.90 plan is the point.

What Shinjiru Is Genuinely Good At

Shinjiru Technology Sdn Bhd has been selling hosting out of Kuala Lumpur for more than twenty years, and the sister site handling its offshore business describes the company as an offshore host since 2000. The WordPress plans run a sensible stack rather than a marketing one: LiteSpeed with the LiteSpeed Cache plugin, cPanel, Imunify360, PHP 8.3 and MySQL 8, with free SSL and free Cloudflare CDN and DNS on every tier. Support is Telegram, phone and tickets, advertised 24/7, with a 90-day money-back guarantee and a stated 99.9 per cent network uptime.

Four things there beat what we sell, and they belong before the table rather than after it. The servers sit in a Tier 3 data centre in Kuala Lumpur, and the FAQ says plainly that your data stays in Malaysia, which we cannot answer at all. They list a web application firewall as part of Imunify360; we are on Cloudflare’s free plan, so we have none. They will move the site free from any cPanel host, and Migrate2Us offers to extend the time you have left with your old provider up to six months. And staging is on every WordPress plan, which at this price is not a given.

Where It Actually Hurts

Where It Actually Hurts - Oxyforge

All of this was read from the Shinjiru WordPress hosting page on 9 October 2026. Prices move, so check before you act.

The site count is a quota, not capacity. The published resource table gives WP Startup two accessible CPU cores, 2 GB of RAM, 20 entry processes, 4 MB/s of I/O, 2,048 IOPS, 200,000 inodes and 50 databases. Publishing those numbers is to their credit and most hosts at the price do not. But they are the limits for the whole account, so the thirtieth site shares with the first.

The headline is a 36-month price, and the discount is a promotion with a code. WP Startup is advertised as low as RM95.40 a year; the small print beneath reads RM95.40 per year on three years, RM131.40 on two, and RM149.90 for one, against an undiscounted RM190.80. No monthly cycle appears anywhere. The banner calls the offer a 50 per cent lifetime discount, which reads as a rate that carries into renewals, then calls it limited time and attaches the code OC26WP50. Both can be true at once. Get which applies to your renewal in writing before you commit three years.

The backup wording does not agree with itself. One block describes FastVault as weekly automated backups. The FAQ on the same page describes daily backups with 90-day retention, and a third block promises instant one-click restore. Weekly and daily are a different proposition when something breaks on a Tuesday, so ask which applies.

Shinjiru And Oxyforge Compared

Shinjiru figures from shinjiru.com.my, observed October 2026, taking WP Startup as the entry plan. “Not published” means we could not find it stated on their own site and would rather leave a gap than guess.

What Moving Costs You

What Moving Costs You - Oxyforge

An afternoon, and the afternoon is yours. Shinjiru will migrate a cPanel site free and credit what you have left elsewhere. We will not move anything, and if that is less service than you are used to, it is.

What you get instead is a move with no window where the site is down. Create the site and note its temporary address. Copy the site across with a migration plugin, or over SFTP with WP-CLI if it is large. Password protect it while you work, then test the parts that earn money: forms, logins, checkout. Shinjiru keeps serving your visitors throughout. Point the domain when you are satisfied and close the old account afterwards, not before. Both routes are in moving your site. Mailboxes do not travel with the website, because we host no mail at all, so move them to Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or a mail host first and leave the MX records there.

The other cost is geography. We serve from Singapore and nowhere else, so against a Kuala Lumpur data centre we are one short hop further out. For visitors in Malaysia that hop is small, which is the honest version of the claim rather than an invisible one. Billing is easier: our payments run through a Malaysian Stripe account, so a Malaysian card works normally, though we price in US dollars and the ringgit on your statement is whatever your card’s rate is that day.

Who Should Stay Put

Stay with Shinjiru if your data has to be in Malaysia, because nobody wins that argument with latency. Stay if your mailboxes live on the hosting account, if cPanel is how you work, if you run a dozen small sites on one plan at RM149.90 a year, if a phone number is how you want to reach support, or if anything on the account is not WordPress. Stay too if free migration and a credit for your remaining term are deciding this, because we match neither. We are narrow on purpose: managed WordPress, Singapore only, no mail, no phone line, and the move is your own job. For small business sets out the kind of site that earns the difference back.

What To Do Next

If you have decided to look rather than just read, the order is this.

  1. Ask Shinjiru in writing which rate your renewal will carry, the RM95.40 lifetime figure or the undiscounted RM190.80, and whether FastVault runs weekly or daily, because neither is published as one answer.
  2. Move your mailboxes to Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or a mail host first, since we host no mail.
  3. Choose a plan on pricing and create the site. It comes up on a temporary address within minutes.
  4. Copy the site onto that address yourself, with a plugin or over SFTP with WP-CLI, following moving your site, and password protect it while you test forms, logins and checkout.
  5. Point the domain when you are satisfied, and close the Shinjiru account afterwards, not before.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Shinjiru WordPress hosting cost for one year?

RM149.90 for WP Startup, observed October 2026. The RM95.40 in the headline is the per-year rate on a 36-month term, two years is RM131.40 a year, and the undiscounted figure printed beside it is RM190.80. One year of WP Premium is RM221.40 and WP Ultimate RM383.40. No monthly cycle is shown.

Does Shinjiru migrate my site for me?

Yes. Their page offers free WordPress migration from cPanel hosting, and Migrate2Us says it will extend the hosting period you have left with your old provider, up to six months. We do not move sites at all, so on this point Shinjiru is ahead of us.

Does Oxyforge keep my data in Malaysia?

No. We run in Google Cloud’s Singapore region and nowhere else, with no Malaysian presence and no Malaysian data centre. Shinjiru’s FAQ says its WordPress data sits in a Tier 3 data centre in Kuala Lumpur and stays in Malaysia. If data residency is a requirement, that decides it against us.

Does Oxyforge have a web application firewall?

No. Cloudflare sits in front of every site for CDN and DDoS protection, but we are on Cloudflare’s free plan, so there is no WAF. Shinjiru lists one as part of Imunify360. We run nightly malware scanning, a container and a Unix user per site, and password protection on any environment.

Is Oxyforge the right Shinjiru alternative for a small business?

Only if the website earns. For one or a few sites that take orders or bookings, 20 to 24 US dollars a month buys a container per site, 30 days of nightly backups you restore yourself, and a renewal invoice matching the first. For a brochure site nobody touches, Shinjiru is cheaper and cheaper is right.
