Create Your Oxyforge Account

Your account is the thing your websites, your plan and your billing hang off. Opening one takes a couple of minutes. This page covers what to have ready, what each plan includes, and what to do first once you are in.

What You Need First

  • An email address you will keep access to. It is the address we use to reach you about the account, and the address you sign in with.
  • Nothing else. You do not need a domain yet, and you do not need your old site’s files to hand.

Every website you create here is born on its own temporary address, shaped like site-1a2b3c4d.oxyforge.net (a temporary website’s starts with temp- instead), live straight away with a valid certificate. That means you can build and test a site in full before a domain is involved.

Step 1: Sign Up

Go to my.oxyforge.com/signup and fill in your details. Choose a password you do not use anywhere else, because this login controls your websites.

When the form is done you land in the members area. That is where everything lives from here on: your websites, your usage, your invoices and your support tickets.

Step 2: Choose A Plan

Every plan runs the same platform. Nginx, PHP 8.3, MySQL 8.4, a Redis object cache, a built-in full-page cache and Cloudflare in front. The difference is how many websites you can run and how much room they get.

PlanWebsitesStorageBandwidthPrice
Build110 GB50 GB/month$24/month
Grow320 GB100 GB/month$48/month
Scale1030 GB200 GB/month$96/month

Paying annually gives you two months free. Full detail is on the pricing page.

Storage counts your files plus your database, and both storage and bandwidth are pooled across the whole account rather than split per site. On Grow, three websites draw from the same 20 GB and the same 100 GB, so a quiet brochure site leaves more room for a busy shop. Backups are kept separately and do not eat into your storage.

If you want to know those numbers properly before you commit, read bandwidth explained and storage explained.

Pick the plan that fits the websites you have now. Moving up later is a ticket from the members area, not a rebuild: your sites, domains and backups stay where they are. Card payments and self-service plan changes are coming.

Step 3: Try It On The Free Plan First

If you would rather look round before paying, the free plan gives you one temporary website at a time, which lasts 24 hours and then deletes itself. You can create another once it is gone.

A temporary website is not a home for a real site. When you are ready for that, choose a paid plan and create a proper website.

Step 4: Create Your First Website

With a plan in place, open Add Website and work through create your first website. Provisioning takes under a minute.

If you are bringing an existing WordPress site across, start at move your site to Oxyforge with a migration plugin instead. You do the move yourself, onto the temporary address, and the domain only changes when the copy is right.

What An Account Does Not Include

We do not register domains and we do not host mailboxes. Buy your domain from any registrar you like and point it here, and keep your email with a mail provider such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. We also never migrate a site for you.

This is managed WordPress hosting and nothing else. There is no cPanel, no root access and no server shell, because the platform manages the server layer for you. What you do get is WordPress admin, SFTP, per-site SSH keys and WP-CLI.

Getting Help

Support is a ticket from the members area. That keeps your account, your websites and the conversation in one place, so nobody has to ask you to prove who you are before they can look.

Use a ticket as well when you want to change or cancel your plan.

If Something Goes Wrong

You cannot sign in. Check you are at my.oxyforge.com/login and that you are using the email address you signed up with. Use the password reset link on that page rather than trying variations, because repeated failures slow the form down.

You signed up with the wrong email address. You can change it yourself from your account details in the members area. The change is confirmed at the new address, so make sure you can read mail there first.

You were not asked for a card. That is right: signup asks only for your name, email and a password. If you picked a paid plan on the pricing page, payment comes on the next screen, and a card problem there is usually the bank rather than us. Try a different card, then open a ticket if it keeps happening.

Did this answer it? If not, open a ticket from the members area and someone who runs the platform will pick it up.
